First, KFDE wants to express our deepest appreciation for your decision to support our work through your tax-deductible contributions. Your generous gifts will provide the precious resources we need to help persons with disabilities find their own voice of advocacy to acquire and sustain their lives of independence in the community. For those who are unable to use their own voice, we will teach their parents, guardians, friends, and others how to be effective advocates on their loved one's behalf. Your gift will also promote a greater understanding and community acceptance of the disability experience that will ultimately lead to greater integration of persons with disabilities into every facet of daily life as jobholders, husbands and wives, parents, elected officials, pastors, priests, rabbis, and representatives of whatever path in life people choose to take because they are free and no longer unnecessarily encumbered by restrictive institutions.
